This Gibson Girl Portrait Plate is one in a series  of twelve plates based on portraits by Charles Dana Gibson in the late nineteenth century.  The plates were made by Royal Doulton, England for Life Publications, 1901.  The signature on the plate is C .D.Gibson.  All the plates have heads with lovers knots and heart borders.  The plate is 9 1/4" in diameter and is in mint conditon
