La Belle Celery Dish

This is a La Belle Celery Dish. The item  may also be used fro Ice Cream. The Dish  measures 13 1/2"  long and 4 1/2" wide and is 2" deep. The dish has exceptional embossing, with the gold trim in near original condition . The color is vivid and the blue is outstanding. The Dish is marked with  the Double Eagle mark. There is faint crazing but this does not distract  from the item  This dish was made by Wheeling Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, 1896

This Flow Blue Creamer was made by John and George Alcock of England. The Creamer has eight panels and is 5 1/2: high. The creamer is dominated by a man carrying a flag walking down a stairway  leading  to a small pavilion. The creamer is further filled with palm,  lotus and prunus trees. There is also a small ornamental building in the rear. The condition is excellence with strong colors and free of any chips, flakes or cracks. Ca 1839-1846

This cup and saucer are in the Cashmere Pattern.  This pattern has a center scene of two little deer, one with antlers who is confronting the other deer with an upraised front leg.  The border consists of oversized flowers and leaves.  The cup has twelve panels and is 3" High and is 3 3/8" in diameter.  The saucer is 5 3/4" in diameter.    Francis Morley, England  c. 1840 

Clifton Gravy Boat

This Gravy Boat is  in the Cliftpn Pattern.  It has a  scalloped, beaded and embossed edging around the top rim and is 8 1/2" wide.   Condition  and color are excellent. Grindley.  England, 1895

La Belle Platter

This is a La Belle Platter. The Platter  measures 13 " long and 9 1/3" wide  . The Platter has exceptional embossing, with the gold trim in near original condition . The color is vivid and the blue is outstanding. The Platter is marked " La Belle". There is faint crazing but this does not distract  from the item  This platter was made by Wheeling Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, 1896

This creamer has scalloped edges with embossing in some areas. The border is printed with flowers and leaves The creamer  is 4 1/2" High. The condition is excellent and the color is strong. Maker:  New Wharf Pottery,  England c 1894

The creamer  depicts  an oriental scene with dark printing. The center shows two figures, one standing and the other seated.  The condition is excellent with dark printing.  Amoy is a port city near Hong Kong. The maker was Davenport.  England,1840

This Flow Blue Platter is in the Clarence Pattern.  The Platter is 18" long and 12 3/4" wide. The outer rim is decorated with alternating Cartouche and Medallions with gold trim. There is also decorative embossing in the well. Wood & Son.  England, c1891

 This Tray is in the Pansy Pattern.  The overall decoration the the Pansy and there is gold trim and elaborate embossing. The Tray is 12 " long and 4 1/2" wide.  It is stamped Warwick China on the bottom. Condition is excellent with great color. Warwick Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, 1894

Warwick, Pansy Plate

The Plate is in the Pansy Pattern    It  has an overall decoration of the Pansy Flower with gold trim and elaborate embossing.  Condition is excellent. The Plate is 9 3/4" in diameter and stamped Warwick China.    Warwick Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, c. 1894

The Bowl is in the  La Belle pattern.    The Bowl is 11" x 10 1/2"and has a handle.  The color and embossing are excellent with no crazing. There are three spots of discoloration under the glaze in the center. The mark is the Eagle Head WP with La Belle China underneath. Wheeling Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, 1894 

This Gravy Boat is in the Argyle Pattern.  It is scalloped, with gold trim around the top rim and is 7 1/2" long/   Condition is good with excellent color. Very small hairline on the under side of the outer edge. Grindley, England,  c.1890

La Belle Creamer and Sugar Set

This La Belle matched Cream and Sugar set is trimmed with a gold flower and scroll design.  The flowers are in the Blue Diamond Pattern.  The creamer is  3  3/4 " high and the sugar is  4 1/2" high and 4 1/4" in diameter. The back is stamped La Belle  China. Condition is excellent with dark blue  color and very good gold trim.   Wheeling Pottery,  Wheeling West Virginia, 1893-1903

The Syrup Pitcher  is in the La Belle Pattern and is 4" High with a pewter Lid. There is embossing under the top opening and gold trim with the embossing and around the bottom edge. This is a La Belle Cabbage Leaf Bowl which measures 11" by 9 3/4" bowl It has one handle and exceptional embossing. The gold trim is in original condition. It is marked La Belle.  Mint Condition, no crazing. Wheeling Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, 1896

This Scinde Waste Bowl   has 16 panels and is 3" High and 5 !/4" in diameter. condition is good with slight roughness at the top rim. J & G Alcock, England 1847

This  is a Roseville bone dish. These pieces  were found on the Victorian Tables.  It measures  5 ½” by 3 ¼” and today it can be used as a candy dish or a condiment dish.  We have a wealthy client who uses a bone dish in her boudoir as a dish for her cotton balls.  

This La Belle Creamer  is 3 1/4" High and has elaborate embossing around the upper and lower edges. The gold trim and color are excellent, as is the condition. The bottom is stamped La Belle China. Wheeling Pottery, Wheeling, West Virginia, 1895

This La Belle  Portrait Charger  with Cherub showing  5 ladies and cow.  The Charger  is11 1/4" in diameter and is in excellent condition with some wear to the gilt on the border and some crazing.  The Charger has a Green Mark on the back side showing the letters "W" & "P"  The maker was Wheeling Pottery,  Wheeling, WV  c.1894

The Plate is  in the  " Coburg Pattern".  The Plate is 10 1/4" in diameter  and is in excellent condition with great color. The plate is twelve sided and paneled. The border is a series of connecting grape leaves and leafy scrolls. The well  shows two men on the river bank, a abbey, trees and a sailboat. John Edwards, England, 1860
